Beaglebone Black
Added by Joey Carlini about 11 years ago
This seems like a pretty easy build, since all hardware is open, and people can build their own version of Android directly for it based on AOSP, I don't think we'll have that big an issue with playing with it.

We don't target single board computers yet, but I agree this could be a good target.

Marshmallow is now on the BBB! There are multiple guides.
- Texas Instrument E2E community's guide: https://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/android/f/509/t/476148
- A similar guide in elinux.org: http://www.elinux.org/Thread:User_talk:MaheshKalmeshwar/Quick_MarshMallow_Android_Porting_on_Beaglebone_Black#Marshmallow_Porting__on_Beaglebone_Black_2151
- A guide by http://www.2net.co.uk/node/52 is here: https://github.com/csimmonds/android4beagle
Also, Android4Beagle says that they are working on a Nougat port.
From what I can tell, TI's Android SDK for the BBB is kinda old.
On the good side, I hear elsewhere on this forum that there's a $40 Adafruit cellular board that connects to the BBB via UART, so there is good isolation.
