[solved] stopping the alarm after unlocking

Added by Fil Lupin over 9 years ago

Hi,
I encountered this problem when the alarm started and my phone is locked.
If I unlocked it before stopping the alarm, I can not stop the alarm without restarting the phone.
Especially, I tried to unactivate the alarm, but without any affect on the current alarm.

Do you know if this can be done ?
If yes, how ? Perhaps this could be better if this could be more understandable ?
If no, it seems to me this is an issue which should be solved.

What do you think of it ?
Cheers.

I tried the following:
  • I set an alarm and locked my phone (with Replicant 4.2.0003).
  • If the alarm screen comes up, (where you can decide to snooze or dismiss the alarm), I switched to the unlock screen by pressing the menu button.
  • I unlocked my phone and realized, that the alarm tone is still playing.
  • I also realized, that there is a clock symbol (in the upper left corner of the status bar).
    • I swiped down the status bar and had the options to snooze or dismiss the alarm directly, or
    • to select on the alarm tap and go back to the originally alarm screen, which was shown before (with all options working).

If this is what you mean(?), I don't have any trouble with that functionality on my device (i9100).

PS: I also tried to "clear" all (or just the "Clock" app) over the "recent apps switcher" while the alarm was playing. This also stops the alarm tone, (but in this case the clock symbol keeps exist in the upper left corner of the status bar).

I realize that I forgot to answer.
I did not know the status bar and how to access it.
Thank you, it solved the issue.
