Replicant

• In the replicant >=9 kernel, the charger driver only charges if the cable is detected.
• In the replicant 6 kernel, the shutdown driver also detects if a cable is plugged in.

So it would be interesting to understand what it means exactly: Does it detect some voltage / current or only a cable plugged (with or without anything on the other side of the cable).

If only only detects a cable, is there a better way to do it? if not we might even try to upstream that code as-is.
