Current phonesThere are several android phones out there but [wiki:root_status only a few] comes legally with root privilegies. (If you know about an android phone that comes with root by default please let us know on irc or mailing list.)
Please note that [http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/27/pour-one-out-t-mobile-g1-no-longer-for-sale/ T-Mobile G1 is no longer for sale] so I think our default device will become the Nexus One.
