Tasks¶

Here is a list of the tasks that need to be done in order to improve Replicant:

General-purpose tasks¶

• Add support for more video software-decoding codecs, such as Theora
• Make the USB Networking scripts work with Replicant 4.0
• Write a modern Gallery application that doesn't rely on missing OpenGL features
• Make the embedded video player in the browser work (or make it switch to fullscreen when playback starts)
• Clean the ReplicantWallpapers code and use modern Trebuchet-like wallpaper selector

• Improve various aspects of Samsung-RIL (add support for missing features and/or correct bugs)

Nexus S (I902x)¶

• Figure out the BCM4751 GPS protocol and write a free implementation
• Find a way to make graphics faster

Galaxy S (I9000)¶

• Figure out the BCM4751 GPS protocol and write a free implementation

• Figure out the GSD4t GPS protocol and write a free implementation
• Add the missing audio scenarios for bluetooth (AD2P, calls, etc), dock audio
