Here is a list of the tasks that need to be done in order to improve Replicant:

• Migrate the tasks lists inside the issue tracker (urgent)

Missing features¶

• Make software video decoding work in Replicant 4.2 (Feature #1509)
• Add support for more video software-decoding codecs, such as Theora (Feature #1515)
• Improve the generic Android EGL implementation so that it implements all the currently missing features (Feature #705)
• Write a modern Gallery application that doesn't rely on missing OpenGL features
• Make the embedded video player in the browser work (or make it switch to fullscreen when playback starts)

Improvements¶

• Clean the ReplicantWallpapers code and use modern Trebuchet-like wallpaper selector
• Improve various aspects of Samsung-RIL (add support for missing features and/or correct bugs) (Issue #1485)

Security¶

• Fix the Webview vulnerability in Replicant 4.2 (Bug #1503)

Tools¶

• Make it easy to build and release a Replicant Development Tools package (equivalent to ADT) from the Replicant source code -> ADTBuild
• Make it easy to build and release a Replicant NDK from the Replicant source code -> NDKBuild

Device-specific tasks¶

• Find a way to make graphics faster (#1491) (Applies to many devices)
• Add the missing audio scenarios for bluetooth (AD2P, calls, etc), dock audio for the Galaxy S2 (I9100) (#1497)

GPS related tasks¶

• Figure out the BCM4751 GPS protocol and write a free implementation (Feature #1473)
• Make the GSD4t GPS work (Feature #1479)
